Act 15 (2008), designates October as Filipino-American History Month throughout the State of Hawaii “to commemorate the contributions of Filipino-Americans to the history and heritage of Hawaii and the United States.”

Part of the month-long celebration, there will be a Philippine flag raising ceremony at the County Maui Building on Monday, Oct. 3, 2016 at 10 a.m.

This event is the kick off for this year's festival at the Maui Mall. Now in its sixth year, the Festival is a family event that promotes and perpetuates the Filipino culture. This year, the festival will commemorate the last sugar plantation in Hawaii.

The Festival is presented annually by the Maui Filipino Chamber of Commerce Foundation. Mahalo!

We hope you can join us.
