The annual Philippine flag-raising ceremony on Maui takes place on October 1st at 10:00 AM on the front lawn of the Kalana O Maui Building in Wailuku to kick off Filipino American History Month.
Features a Color Guard presentation, the singing of national anthems, mayoral proclamations, and guest speeches. The Philippine flag remains flown on the front lawn throughout October to celebrate local heritage and plantation roots.
This year, we are bringing back some local Filipino bites for guests to enjoy, as well as some entertainment (dances). Please join us - the event is free and open to the public!
