It’s festival time again and the Maui Filipino Chamber of Commerce Foundation has exciting new events this year. Please plan to participate in any or all of the events. Exciting prizes will be given away including roundtrip flights to Manila, Philippines!

To kick off Filipino-American History Month, the County of Maui and the Maui Filipino Chamber Foundation will host a Philippine Flag Raising ceremony at the County building on Monday, October 5th, beginning at 10 am.

At the Flag Raising ceremony, Mayor Arakawa is expected to read a Proclamation. Following the ceremony, there will be entertainment and free Filipino food tasting provided by the restaurants participating in the Maui Fil-Am Heritage Festival®.

Maui is the only county where the Philippine flag is raised to celebrate Filipino-American History Month. Mahalo to Mayor Alan Arakawa and the County of Maui for allowing the Philippine flag to be flown for the whole month of October.
