The Maui Filipino Chamber of Commerce is looking for a volunteer intern to help the organization with membership information management, helping setup business development events and providing support to its committees.
The volunteer intern shall report to the President, and receive instruction on assistance required by committee chairs. Hourly requirement shall benegotiated for academic credit requirements. No monetary compensation shall be provided.
Responsibilities would include:
• Management of membership information, mailing out communication.
• Basic research as instructed.
• Additional responsibilities in other areas of communications may include writing, traditional and digital media, web management (training will be provided).
Qualifications:
• Must have outstanding written and oral communication skills.
• Working knowledge with MS Office and internet research skills are required.
• Basic organizing and events management skills such as ability to coordinate people, manage registrations, ticket sales.
A one or two-page writing sample is required.
Preferred skills include creating visual graphics using computer software or mobile phone applications, knowledge of WordPress content management system and various social media platforms.
